Our Commitment
Ridgepeak Capital is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We believe that every person should be able to access and use our website with ease, regardless of ability or the technology they use to navigate the web.
To achieve this, we strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines provide a framework for making web content more accessible to people with a range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
Accessibility Features
Our website incorporates the following accessibility features and practices:
Semantic HTML and ARIA Attributes: We use proper semantic HTML elements and ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes throughout our website to ensure that assistive technologies such as screen readers can accurately interpret and convey page content, navigation, and interactive elements.
Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements on our website — including menus, forms, buttons, links, and modal dialogs — are fully operable using only a keyboard. Users can navigate the site using Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Escape, and arrow keys. A "Skip to main content" link is provided at the top of every page.
Screen Reader Compatibility: Our website is designed to be compatible with popular screen readers including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), and TalkBack (Android). We provide descriptive alt text for images, meaningful link text, proper heading hierarchy, and accurate form labels.
Color Contrast: We maintain sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background colors throughout our website to ensure readability for users with low vision or color vision deficiencies.
Responsive Design: Our website is fully responsive and functions across a range of devices and screen sizes, including desktop computers, tablets, and mobile phones.
Animation Controls: Users who are sensitive to motion can reduce or disable animations using their operating system's "prefers-reduced-motion" setting, which our website respects.
Accessibility Widget
Our website includes a built-in accessibility widget that allows users to customize their browsing experience. The widget can be activated by clicking the accessibility icon located in the lower-right corner of the screen. It provides the following adjustments:
Content Adjustments: Increase or decrease font size, adjust line height, adjust letter spacing, change text alignment, and enable an OpenDyslexic font for users with dyslexia.
Color and Display Adjustments: Switch between high contrast, dark mode, and inverted color schemes. Adjust saturation levels or enable a monochrome (grayscale) view. Highlight all links on the page for easier identification.
Navigation Aids: Enable a large cursor for improved visibility, activate a reading guide (a horizontal line that follows your cursor) to maintain your place while reading, and enhance focus indicators to make the currently focused element more visible when navigating with a keyboard.
Motion and Media Controls: Stop all animations, transitions, and auto-playing media. Hide images for a distraction-free text-only view.
All settings are saved automatically in your browser so your preferences persist across visits. You can reset all settings to their defaults at any time from within the widget.
Supported Browsers and Assistive Technologies
We aim to support all major web browsers and assistive technologies, including:
Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Opera. Screen readers including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. Our site is tested on both Windows and macOS platforms.
Ongoing Efforts
Digital accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review and update our website to identify and address accessibility issues. Our team conducts periodic audits of our pages and templates and works to ensure that new content and features meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content on our website may not yet be fully accessible. This may include third-party content or tools that are outside of our direct control, recently published content that has not yet been fully reviewed, or complex interactive elements that are in the process of being remediated. We are actively working to address any known issues and improve the accessibility of all areas of our website.
